Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick : Black Cherry

Who doesn't know Oriflame? It's a cosmetic brand from Sweden which is known as multi level marketing (MLM) product in some Asian countries. Oriflame is vegan cosmetics & free from animal cruelty *I appreciate this because I'm an animal lover*

Today I'll review about their lipstick. I bought Oriflame Pure Colour Lipstick in Black Cherry. I fell in love with its colour when I saw it on catalogue. I was searching for dark lipstick with purple hint, I thought it would be dark enough for gothic look *yeah, I'm a goth* I was a bit disappointed when I got this lipstick. The colour isn't as bold as I expected. There's no purple hint as it looks on the catalogue, it's only dark red. Well, I think it would be nice for daily use because the colour is soft.

• Price : IDR 39,000 (4 grams) --> in January 2014
• Texture : sturdy but soft & buildable, it glides onto my lips smoothly. It contains moisturizer & doesn't dry out my lips. It can cover fine wrinkles on my lips. I don't need to apply lipbalm before. But it feels a bit heavy & thick, like wearing wax on lips.
• Scent : it has soft floral scent. I usually don't like scent of lipstick, but this lipstick scent is tolerable.
• Packaging : many bloggers dislike the packaging because it looks cheap, not elegant & fragile, but it doesn't matter to me. The transparent cap enables us to see the lipstick colour easily. But be careful, the packaging might be broken if you dropped it.
• Pigmentation : poor, 1 swipe looks sheer. You need at least 3 swipes to bring out the colour. I'm glad I didn't purchase the nude colour (Vintage Nude, Vintage Rose), my friends said the nude ones didn't make any difference on their lips, just moisturizing like a lipbalm.
• Staying power : poor, only 3-4 hours without eating & drinking.
• Ingredients : octyldodecanol, Ricinus communis  oil, bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-1, pentaerythryl tetraisosteararte, bis-diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2, polyethylene, mica, cera carnauba (beeswax), microcrystalline wax, candelila cera (candelila wax), tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), silica, parfum, tocopherol. May contain : Cl 77891, 77491, 16035, 77499.

It has no SPF. I recommend you to put on SPF lipbalm at daytime, especially if your activites are under sun exposure.

(+) buildable colour. You can wear it as natural lip colour for daily use

(+) easy to get in my town because there are so many Oriflame members here

(-) the real colour is different from the catalogue (I didn't know when I ordered it because there's no tester)

(-) feels a bit heavy on lips (the texture is thick like wax)

(-) fragile packaging
